Support for children in need

Over the years, Acorns children have taken part in campaigns such as:

• World Heart Day — we support children with heart conditions through a partnership with the Inima Copilului Association and Marie Curie Hospital. Each year the children make products they sell to their families, and the funds raised are donated to this cause.
• Light into Europe — we support children with hearing and sight impairments through awareness events for parents and children, nursery visits by adults with visual or hearing impairments, visits from guide dogs in training, sign language lessons for Acorns children and fundraising.

These experiences teach Acorns children to be sensitive to the needs of others, to offer support and to understand that every gesture matters.

Education for all

Believing that education is every child's right, Acorns supports projects such as:

• "Every child in kindergarten" — helping children from disadvantaged communities access preschool education;
• "Books of Childhood" — fundraising and book donations for libraries in priority rural communities.

These programmes help children understand the positive impact of education and the importance of equal access to learning.

Conferences and initiatives for professionals

The Acorns Foundation organises and supports the sharing of good practice in early education through:

• training sessions for educators in state nurseries;
• The Early Education Conference — an annual event where international experts share strategies and ideas for improving quality in early education.

Themed events and social awareness

Our CSR projects also include events that raise topics important for the community and for children's development:

• Green Fair — an event dedicated to the environment, where children learn about recycling, caring for the planet and the positive impact of responsible choices;
• World Heart Day and other campaigns through which children learn how the human body works and why looking after our health matters.

Real involvement, real learning

Every social responsibility project at Acorns is a learning opportunity — not just charity, but experiences that help each child:

• develop empathy and social awareness,
• understand the complexity of the world around them,
• practise communication, cooperation and responsibility,
• see how they can actively contribute to the good of the community.

Through these projects, children don't only learn academic lessons — they learn how to be caring, generous and engaged people in a constantly changing world.
